Melissa Colon, DMD

Dr. Colon was born in Passaic, NJ where she lived for most of her life. While attending high school she took advantage of the work-study program and worded as a dental assistant at an office in Passaic. While working at the office, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry.
After graduating high school in 1998, Dr. Colon started her path toward becoming a dentist at Montclair State University. She was fortunate to be one of the first students to be a part of the combined, 8 year, BS/DMD program that afforded her admission to New Jersey Dental School in her junior year.
After graduating from MSU in 2002, Dr. Colon continued on to UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School where she attained her degree in dental medicine in May of 2006. She then chose to continue here dental career with an extra year of post-doctoral education at the Veterans Hospital in Miami.
“Dentistry is a very rewarding profession at times and I feel that I have chosen the right career path. I love working in Orange City and providing my services to all of the great patients. In my free time, I like to travel, shop, take salsa classes and spend time with family.” – Dr. Colon.
